We evaluate your pet's teeth (with compliance) during every examination. Facts are that even with best intentions, brushing our pets teeth daily falls under our radars. That's what we are here for! Your pet's mouth is very similar to yours. Calculus builds up within 24 - 48 hours and that build up hardens which is what we get to take off! That bacteria washes into your pet's system along with causing inflammation and pain.  Like your human dentist, we scale, clean and polish. If extractions are necessary, we do that too! This is something that is determined after x-rays of the mouth are taken and evaluated! Some teeth are pretty obvious that they need to go, but some cannot be determined until we see underneath the gum-line.
